Hockey Operations Lead (Volunteer) ​

Kyle Gibbons

Kyle Gibbons is a former professional ice hockey player whose career included significant success in various professional European leagues, following a standout collegiate tenure at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.

While at Canisius, Kyle led the program to its first conference championship in 2013 and was named Atlantic Hockey Tourn

Kyle Gibbons is a former professional ice hockey player whose career included significant success in various professional European leagues, following a standout collegiate tenure at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.

While at Canisius, Kyle led the program to its first conference championship in 2013 and was named Atlantic Hockey Tournament Most Valuable Player. A Hobey Baker nominee and Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award First Team All‑American, Kyle graduated with a degree in finance.

After competing in North American minor leagues, Kyle continued his professional career in Europe, serving as a key offensive contributor for several clubs. He earned promotion to Germany’s DEL2 during the 2017–2018 season and went on to play in Germany, Italy, and France before concluding his professional career.

Kyle volunteers his experience and leadership to support the development and growth of hockey programs. He is married to his wife Layne, and together they have two daughters. 


Kyle serves in a strictly volunteer capacity and is not an employee or officers of the organization.

Suzy Semanick-Schurman

Suzy Semanick-Schurman

Suzy Semanick-Schurman

Suzy Semanick‑Schurman is a highly accomplished National, International, and World Coach and a decorated former competitive ice dancer. A 1988 U.S. Olympic and World Team member, she is a multi‑time International medalist and a three‑time U.S. National Champion in Junior and Senior Dance.

As a coach, Suzy holds a PSA Master Rating and Rank

Suzy Semanick‑Schurman is a highly accomplished National, International, and World Coach and a decorated former competitive ice dancer. A 1988 U.S. Olympic and World Team member, she is a multi‑time International medalist and a three‑time U.S. National Champion in Junior and Senior Dance.

As a coach, Suzy holds a PSA Master Rating and Ranking Level V. Her extensive career includes serving as Power Skating Coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins, choreographing events such as Skate America, and working as Director and Actor in the Oksana Baiul Movie. Suzy volunteers her expertise to support skating development and program instruction.


Suzy serves in a strictly volunteer capacity and is not an employee or officers of the organization.

Jerry Santoferrara

Jerry Santoferrara brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the organization. He is an International, National, and Junior World Coach, a National Gold Medalist in ice dance, an International competitor, and an Adult National Artistic Gold Medalist.

Jerry is also a Theatre On Ice director and instructor and has extensive experience directing ice shows. He supports skating programs in a volunteer leadership capacity.

Tom Harrison has more than 18 years of coaching experience and is an Adult National Coach specializing in freestyle, moves in the field, choreography, and power skating. He is an Adult National Freestyle and Artistic Gold Medalist and competitor and has passed adult gold freestyle and moves.

Tom serves as a Theatre On Ice director and ice 

Tom Harrison has more than 18 years of coaching experience and is an Adult National Coach specializing in freestyle, moves in the field, choreography, and power skating. He is an Adult National Freestyle and Artistic Gold Medalist and competitor and has passed adult gold freestyle and moves.

Tom serves as a Theatre On Ice director and ice show director and volunteers his time and experience to advance skating education and performance opportunities.
